What does it mean to listen to our babies? Why should we listen to our babies? How do we respond to them? How do we engage in their play?

Listening and making sounds are crucial for our little ones’ social and emotional development. From birth, children interact with sounds through everyday objects and naturally want to communicate with adults. Psychologist Colwyn Trevarthen, through his theory of intersubjectivity, has shown that babies are born with the ability to connect with others, not just to meet their basic needs.
