Listening and making sounds are crucial for our little ones’ social and emotional development. From birth, children interact with sounds through everyday objects and naturally want to communicate with adults. Psychologist Colwyn Trevarthen, through his theory of intersubjectivity, has shown that babies are born with the ability to connect with others, not just to meet their basic needs.

Listening and sound-making are key to our lil ones’ socio-emotional development. From infancy, our children interact and play with sounds through objects found in the environment. But more importantly, our babies naturally want to communicate with their adult counterparts.

Let you and your children’s creativity find its place in sonic experiences as you join musiciansand friends of SAtheCollective in their play-jam session! This musical play-jam programmecreates a space to allow children (and adults alike!) the opportunity to experience free play,experiment and explore musical instruments, sounds, and musical ideas, facilitated bymusicians.

Nadam is sound. You can hear it in the noisiest cacophonies, or as the softest stream of awareness sneaking into your ear. An immersive performance that brings extra-ordinary sounds to parents and babies alike, babies and their parents are encouraged to “be” with the performers in the moment.
